Information Stored Locally on Your Device

YAPP stores the following data locally on your device:

• Podcast subscriptions - The podcasts you subscribe to
• Playback history and progress - Your listening history and position in episodes
• Downloaded episodes - Audio files you download for offline listening
• Queue and bookmarks - Episodes you've added to your queue or saved
• Transcriptions - Text transcriptions of podcast episodes generated on your device
• App preferences - Your settings and preferences

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Audio Recording Permission

The app requests microphone/audio recording permission solely for the purpose of processing audio for transcription features. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to external servers.

Network Requests

The app makes network requests to:

• Podcast RSS feeds - To fetch podcast information and episode lists from publishers
• Audio streaming servers - To stream or download podcast episodes from their original hosts
• iTunes/Apple Podcasts API - To search for and discover podcasts

These requests are made directly to podcast publishers and content providers. We do not operate servers that collect or store your data.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not track your listening habits
• We do not use analytics services
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not share any data with third parties

Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device using standard platform security mechanisms. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be deleted.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates with:

• Apple CarPlay - For in-vehicle playback control (iOS)
• Android Auto - For in-vehicle playback control (Android)

These integrations only provide playback controls and do not transmit your data to Apple or Google beyond what is necessary for the features to function.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is intended for general audiences.
