YAPP measures how much of each episode is advertising, and publishes those measurements on a page for your show. This page is how you claim that show, correct us, or leave.

What we publish, and what we don't

We publish our own measurements: how many minutes of advertising we detected, how many breaks, and how long the episodes are. We do not publish your transcript, your audio, or anything about individual listeners.

Smart Skip runs on the listener's device. YAPP does not modify, re-host or redistribute your audio, and it does not strip advertising from your feed. Each listener's app decides locally, for that listener, what to play.

Because most podcast advertising is dynamically inserted, what we measure is what our pipeline was served when it fetched the episode — not what every listener hears. Full methodology

Claim your show, send a correction, or opt out

Enter the email address your show's RSS feed declares as its owner — the address in the feed's <itunes:owner> tag. We send a one-time code to it, so only someone who can read that inbox can act on the show. You do not need to give us your feed URL: we take the address from the feed itself.

Not every feed declares one, and we do not hold an address for every show we measure. If no code arrives within a few minutes, that is why — write to support@yapp.at from an address at your show's domain and we will sort it out by hand.

What opting out does

It removes the show's page, takes it out of the directory and the sitemap, and excludes it from the Ad Load Index and every future dataset. The page returns "gone" rather than quietly vanishing, so search engines drop it. It takes effect immediately.

If your feed declares no owner email address, or the address is out of date, write to support@yapp.at from an address at your show's domain and we will sort it out.
